Hello, I hope this email reaches you in good health. We have just entered our 7th week of shut down and we as a family have got into a routine that means the days pass surprisingly quickly. We are embracing the family time, making sure we stay connected with our relatives in the United Kingdom and also with friends and clients - thank goodness for all the technology we have that makes this so easy.
Living in an active environment has meant that keeping our mobility levels whilst respecting the order to isolate has led to some real positives. Amanda, my wife, has just completed a 30 day yoga routine with our kids. Whilst some mornings were a struggle to get the children motivated, they did very well and had a real sense of accomplishment when the final and 30th session was completed.
With the ski area closing in mid March, and the weather being glorious for the past month, we all had a false sense of spring / summer being with us. This past week has reminded us that April can indeed be a snowy month and getting out on your bike can be a challenge! At the gentle prodding of a good friend of mine who lives in Steamboat, and with whom I did a fabulous biking trip to the French Alps, I signed up to ZWIFT. Bike training app come video game, I have been 'group' riding with some pals in Steamboat and London. Slightly surreal, but it is amazing how we all crank up the watts on the bike to win a sprint of a mountain climb!
Whatever you do to keep yourself in good health and in good spirits, I hope that soon we will be able to return to a place where some of the positive lessons of the past weeks can become part of our new normal.
The wildlife in Breck is certainly enjoying the quiet times. This Moose cow and her yearling have been enjoying the buffet that is our yard at the moment.
Do not hesitate to call, I’m here to help answer any questions.
